Art has always been a passion for Erin. Since childhood, she spent most of her time creating art and in recent years she has gained increased exposure doing what she loves. Erin’s work is received with the same passion that she puts into every piece.
Her subject matter is strongly attached to her surroundings, whatever they may be at the time. Erin grew up in the rich environment of rural northern Alberta; this location inspiring most of her work. Now living in southern Alberta where the landscape is dramatically different, her new subject matter has intensified.
“I compare this to when you have an intriguing dream that you keep going over in your head, and each time more details arise. This is how I have been working — constantly trying to get the images into the copper.” Erin feels that copper is an extremely warm metal and a medium that she finds irresistible.
